ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

A message from Alexis Davis Smith, CEO of PRecise Communications and founding principal of The Change Agencies:

We are saddened and disheartened by the recent events evolving from the senseless and brutal murder of George Floyd. In fact, it’s been a challenge to maintain focus and work. However, we know this is when we are needed most. For 20 years, PRecise Communications has specialized in connecting leading consumer brands with African Americans and Hispanics. We don’t do it just because it is our job as public relations and marketing professionals; we do it because it is our mission. We work every day to help Black consumers be seen, valued and respected.

We know, and have felt, the struggles, pains, barriers, prejudices and inequities experienced by Black people on a daily basis. We consistently aim to help address some of those issues through how we counsel our clients and the programs we execute. Yet, there is still work to be done. As an African-American, woman-owned company, staffed by traditionally marginalized people — Blacks and Latinx, PRecise will always fight for African Americans to be seen, respected and treated fairly, not only among the consumer landscape, but across our country. We are emboldened to do this with even more fervent vigor now because ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We will continue to explore and execute ways to amplify and maximize our skills, influence and relationships to affect positive change for justice, equity, understanding, inclusion, harmony and safety for Black people.

We stand with Black Lives Matter, all of the organizations and dedicated individuals on the front lines fighting the battles of social injustice, police brutality and racism. We hope that you will too. In fact, we challenge you.

Sincerely,

Alexis Davis Smith
